The Republic of Serbia intends to issue as many as 100,000 work permits for foreign workers this year, while Ghana is strengthening cooperation to secure a significant number for its qualified and semi-qualified youth. The proposal is part of a labor mobility agreement that would enable employment in sectors such as construction, healthcare, ICT, agriculture, and services.

During the recent visit of Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić to Accra, it was agreed that Ghana will become the second African country, after Egypt, to formalize this type of cooperation. Additionally, scholarships for Ghanaian students in Serbia were proposed.
