The Municipality of Inđija is soon expected to become the host of two major Chinese investments that would bring over 2,500 new jobs to Serbia. The companies in question are Tehron and Mint Holdings, both planning to build production facilities in this municipality located in Vojvodina.

Tehron, a company engaged in the manufacturing of auto parts for renowned brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche, plans to construct a factory covering an area of approximately 4,500 square meters. In the first phase, around 200 people are expected to be employed, and the facility is scheduled to become operational by mid-2026.

The second investor, Mint Holdings, is planning a significantly larger investment — the construction of an electric vehicle factory on an area of around 210 hectares. The announced investment amounts to as much as 870 million euros, and the project is expected to create around 2,200 new jobs. This investment is part of a broader initiative to develop the "Advanced Mobility Center of Serbia," for which a detailed regulatory plan has already been adopted.

The local government in Inđija is actively involved in attracting foreign investors, and these two companies are the result of long-term negotiations and strategic planning for the development of industrial zones.

The arrival of Chinese firms further confirms Serbia’s attractiveness as an investment destination in the region, especially in the automotive and electrical industries. The new factories are expected to significantly contribute to employment and also stimulate further development of infrastructure and supporting services in this part of the country.
